Assign Authorization Roles

The following standard roles allow the use of certain Lunch Attestation functions.

Tip:  

Most clients use replicated versions of the authorization roles. The standard roles are listed in the table, but you should work with your corresponding replicated roles.

Requests can be used to ask for a new clocking or a change to an existing clocking, including the Shift Answer field of the transaction on the TCS

Assign roles from the Employee screen

To assign roles to an employee, complete the following steps.

  1. Navigate to Employee > search for and open the appropriate employees.

  2. Under Employee Sections, click Roles.

  3. Under Role Actions, click Add.

  4. Click in the Authorization Role Code field, then select the desired role from the Field Look Up Values list.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Under Role Assignment Sections, click Data Access.

  7. Add the necessary employee or organization unit data access, and click Save.

Assign roles using Authorization Manager

To assign roles to an employee using Authorization Manager, complete the following steps.

  1. Log on to Authorization Manager.

  2. Click the Authorization Assignment tab.

  3. In the Employees command group, click Add Assignments.

  4. Complete the steps in the wizard to search for the appropriate employees and roles.

  5. Assign the roles and click Finish.

  6. For additional employees and roles, repeat steps 2 - 5.
